The Model 1 instruments have been in limited production since 1979 and are considered classics in the world of electric instruments. The ergonomic body shape, neck, and unique P/U system make these instruments one of a kind, rotating magnetic P/U, with onboard pre amps, semi parametric EQ, a coil cut, and piezo bridge P/U designed by Rick Turner, Model 1 instruments produce an incredible range of sounds, and are suitable for a wide range of musical styles from rock to jazz. Graphite-reinforced set neck built of five-layer laminate, alternating hard rock maple with rosewood, walnut or purple heart.
Scale length 24.75".Two octave (24 fret) rosewood fingerboard with full black binding. Paua abalone neck face and side dot market inlays. A-1 solid mahogany body/topped and backed in high figured American cherry, natural finish. Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, bone binding on top, back, fingerboard, and headstock with hemp purfling on top and headstock. Custom gotoh tuners with ivory buttons and matching truss rod cover.
